Ok admittedly this is not exactly like what Carmen Sandiego wears. Her trench coat and hat is red but whenever I combine a trench with a wide brim fedora I feel like I am channeling her style.
When I saw that the sweater I am wearing here had been reworked for JCREW Factory I had to share an outfit styling it again this year. I like it because it is a great weight and the pattern makes it more than just another grey sweater. Plus with all the colours woven through it, it gives you endless ideas on what to pair with the sweater.
Since it has gotten so much colder seemingly overnight layering up my trench is a must. I am not quite ready to pull out my winter coat so I am stretching the season with cozy sweaters and thin turtlenecks.
The hat is a great addition to the look but I will warn you it is the first thing to have a mind of its own in the wind. I am not sure that it is really an issue with this hat in particular but rather an issue with wide brim hats in the wind in general. Still I love the look, so I will just make sure to hold on tight when there is a gusty day.
