September is here and kids are back to school. Which means I am waiting impatiently for the temperatures to cool so I can pull out everything autumn. I am ready for crisp mornings and cozy layers. I am sharing the top 5 things in my wardrobe I am excited to wear again this fall.
Trench coats
Even though I seem to get more wear out of trench coats in spring I can’t wait to start putting my trench coats into rotation this fall. I find fall weather has the tendency to stay hot and then get very cold very fast. So I have to jump on every opportunity to wear my trench coats while I can. Right now I seem to be wearing my trench coat first thing in the morning but by lunch it is too hot for layers.
If I had to choose one trench coat to recommend to everyone it would be this one. But this is a close second.
Heeled Boots
I am ready to put away my sandals. I want to wear pointy toe and almond toe boots with everything.
I really do not need any more boots but I did just buy these and haven’t worn these enough.
Leather Bags
I put away my leather bags for the summer. I find basket bags feel more summery. Although a woven leather works well for summer too. I have been carrying this. But I am over it and switched over to this bag recently.
Scarves
Scarves are the easiest ways to transform an outfit. You could wear the same coat all winter and just make it look new again with different scarves. But I can’t do summer scarves. They make me feet hot and claustrophobic just thinking about them! So I am more of a three season scarf wearer. I have lighter scarves that I wear earlier in the season before switching to larger and warmer blanket scarves.
Sweaters
Last but not least I am ready for sweater weather! As much as I love a summer dress or my usual crisp summer white blouse I am over them. I am ready to put sweaters into daily rotation. I have my eye on this.
One of my favourite sweaters (gifted) is this one. I love the neckline. It is high but not a traditional turtleneck because you don’t have to fold it over. Loving the looks of this one and I just got this one.

What purse/tote (and where can I get it) are you carrying with the navy trenchcoat. The purse is a neutral baige or cream with a red & blue webbed strap.

The tote I have is a smaller version of this. I don't know if they have discontinued the size or if it will be coming back. The colour is stone.
