I have been beading since I was a tween and even though I have matured past multicoloured seed bead bracelets I still get the DIY bug often. Especially when it comes to something I see and I say to myself I could make that!
I saw necklaces similar to this one at the Sara Duke Factory Store in Bloordale and wanted to get one. But fast forward about 6 months and I decided to make one instead. ***Update the original designs are by Nicola Chong, even though this is my attempt at making one for myself***
So I popped over to Arton Bead on Queen West and stocked up on some colourful wood beads and wire. Then I stared at a picture of the necklace for about an hour trying to figure out how to weave the pattern.
I am pretty pumped that I figured it out and can’t wait to build on the pattern for some different necklaces! I know I will be wearing this often in the summer with boho tops.
I also scored these super cute boots at Joe Fresh this weekend on sale for only $30! YEA!

To be honest I just stared at the necklaces I mentioned in the post until I figured something out. It has been a while, but you need at least 2 wires so that you can be creating the lattice. There was alot of trial and error and visualization to get it to work.
