I have a thing for soft textiles. I always have. I love the way it feels and I love how luxurious it looks. I had a gift card left over from a disastrous Black Friday purchase at Artizia and tried on this coat when shopping in December. I pulled the trigger as part of the Boxing Day sales and I couldn’t be happier. Sharing all the reasons why as part of my Aritzia Stedman Coat Review.
Aritzia Stedman Coat Review
The Aritzia Stedman Coat comes in three different fabrics. Wool, Wool Cashmere and Alpaca. I have the Alpaca version. In addition to fabrics it also comes in many colours. I have the Royal Navy. The Alpaca version is described as limited edition and I haven’t seen it produced in some time. I really wish they would bring it back!
The style of coat is masculine inspired. There is one button closure that buttons slightly asymmetrical. The neckline is quite open due to the one button closure that is approximately at the midsection.
There is no back vent, but the coat has enough room that this doesn’t constrict while you walk.
So what is so special about the Stedman coat? Well it is soft. I seriously have to stop from petting myself. It is also super warm. I wore this coat all through a polar vortex and wasn’t missing my parka at all. It is also roomy enough for my thicker sweaters. This was actually a bit surprising because it does have a more streamlined look but I don’t feel stuffed when I wear sweaters that aren’t a thin knit. I also really love the look of this coat. Others compliment me on it too. I think the alpaca wool is not only the warmest option but also the most luxurious looking.
I am wearing a large so I would consider this coat true to size. The only drawback is the low open neck. I always have to make sure that I tie my scarf in a certain way so that I cover up the neck area to maintain warmth.
What do you think of the Aritzia Stedman Coat review? Is this coat that you are lusting after? Would you go for the navy? Or camel or something more colourful?

I love the colour but don't particularly like the low neck. There are times when you dont want a scarf - but i do love the one you are wearing. Love - Jill stylishatsixty www.stylishatsixty.wordpress.com

If I wasn't going to wear this coat with a scarf I would leave it open. Fact is winter in Ontario is damn cold and if I am closing my coat I am also wearing a scarf. The only coats I don't pair with a scarf religiously is my parka.

Looks lovely on you. Your scarf is a beautiful solution for the low neckline. Just add some great leather gloves.
