I don’t even remember where I first started seeing Mille dresses. Was it an Instagram advertisement or an influencer? Either way I know it was definitely some time last year when I started stalking their styles trying to decide which one make the most sense for me to try. When their Citrus print dropped I was done for, I knew I had to have one of their dresses. Sharing my Mille Dress Review of their gorgeous block print styles.
Mille Dress Review: Citrus Zoe
The Mille Dress that I am wearing here is the Zoe dress in Citrus. The print is more like a clementine than lemons. There is an elastic waist and elastic at the arms. This dress has a very southern belle feel to it.
Size wise I went with the XL as the description of that size was fits most size 12 women. Honestly I think I could have gone down to the L and that the XL fits more like a generous 12 or 14. The arms fit loose on me and the waist isn’t stretched out. From my perspective the sizing fits large.
The dress is a block print cotton. I wore it to work this week during a heat wave and it is perfectly breezy. There is a full tiered skirt and a self tie belt. The belt is nice and wide and the tassels on it make it more special than many belts that come with dresses. Still I wore this dress with a leather belt this week and it looked fantastic that way as well. I do think I will use the belt that came with the dress more than I do others I have been provided.
Quality wise I would say this is a well made dress. Definitely better fit and quality than something more fast fashion. It is not lined however and not as detailed as my Ulla Johnson dress.
Shipping to Canada was fast. However they ship via UPS and they really jacked up the brokerage fees which I haven’t seen to the same extent before. If you can request to ship via DHL or something else it might be worth it. There were no duties but I was charged HST.
I am tempted to get another of the Mille styles. I really like the Mykonos print but it is sold out in the Zoe dress already. The great thing is that they use the same print in a number of different styles so you can find something that works for you.
What do you think of the Zoe dress in Citrus? Have you been looking at the Mille dresses?

Hi! Where did you buy the Mille dress in Canada? Did you order it online? If so, were shipping / duties expensive? Thanks!

Hi Katie, I ordered the Mille dress directly from Mille online. If you order from them directly you can shop in Canadian dollars. Shipping was $40. There were no duties. UPS charged me HST and brokerage fees. The UPS brokerage fees were a total rip off. From what I can tell there aren't any Canadian stores carrying their dresses yet.
