Two ways to wear wide leg culottes

After the navy linen culottes were such a hit I went ahead and ordered the voluminous culottes in light beige. They are cotton not linen and they are even wider than the linen version. They are slightly shorter rise as well. This style also comes in navy but there are limited sizes in that colour. I find lighter coloured bottoms harder to style, mostly because I am more comfortable in a darker bottom. I also like to try newer items out with a bunch of options to see how I prefer to style them. So that when I am up early in the morning for work I already have options I know work. So here are two ways to wear wide leg culottes.

So these culottes are from the same brand as the other pair I wore recently but they are more voluminous. Alost looking more like a skort or palazzo pants.

Fit wise the rise is shorter. I do prefer the linen pair for this reason that I prefer the slightly higher rise. The linen pair also have a flat panel at the front whereas this pair is elastic all the way around.

The first outfit is something I would wear to work through the summer. This blouse is back in stock. I got mine last year and it is so lightweight. Great for super hot summer days.

I like the tone on tone of the off white belt with the light beige trousers. There are no belt loops but I would still belt these pants just to elevate them a bit.

Because these culotte trousers are shorter waisted than the linen pair I also have I find they are a bit longer. I am not sure that they are actually longer but just because they sit lower there is this appearance of more length? I do really like these sandals paired with the pants as it just provides a really neutral look as the sandals almost disappear.

The second outfit is more casual. I wanted to wear something with a bit of colour to contrast the trousers.

It has also been a bit chilly lately so I pulled out this jean jacket. I like that it isn’t oversized and more cropped. I think with this much volume on the bottom the cropped style works better.

My bag is a few years old now but I feel like the woven leather means it is more summery? Even though it is a black leather bag. At least that is how my brain works. The red tee has a French sentence on there that you can’t really see.
