Halloween Table Setting

The season has officially changed. The super hot days seem to be behind us and the leaves are changing colour. October is coming and that means spooky season is here. If you are looking for ideas about a simple not over the top Halloween Table Setting you are in luck.

Halloween Table Setting

For this Halloween tablescape I knew I was going to use the black and orange checkered table cloth that I have had for years (similar options here, here and here). The rest of the table was inspired by this post that I made a month or so ago. I love the black on black. I think it would look great outside of Halloween too.

I am really loving all the electric candles that I have added recently. I really love the black candleabra with the electric candle sticks. I had always avoided buying candle stick holders, opting instead for larger glass holders or something for small votive candles. But these electric candle sticks are fantastic! They come in black too.

I also love the look of the vintage pumpkin candy bucket with a little votive candle popped in there. Once it is dark enough the pumpkin just glows.

All of the decor items like the full size skeleton, skull, cut out pumpkin and candy bucket are old. I keep these things in the basement and bring them out year after year. I got the skeleton the last time we did a US road trip and got to stop at a Target. I am pretty sure the skull is from Target too but that was from back when Target was in Canada. What I am trying to highlight here is that you can use what you have and mix it in with your table setting to get that spooky look.
