Stripe Obsession

I started saving some items that I wanted to check out on Boxing Day. Most of these are new arrivals that arrived after the chaos that is Black Friday. I find Black Friday so overwhelming the last few years. The constant bombardment of sale emails is a bit much. Either way I started noticing a theme of the items I was mentally putting away to look at again after Christmas. They were all stripes and so I had to admit I had a bit of a Stripe Obsession.

Stripe Obsession

  1. Stripe Socks – Do I need a pair of stripe socks? No. Do I think they look dramatic. Yes. I definitely think these look like a cool pair of socks that beg to be seen.
  2. Merino Wool Stripe Sweater – This is actually one of three camel and red stripe sweaters I have my eye on. I am leaning towards this one because of the deeper camel colour. The other two are much lighter. Camel is a colour I find harder to wear now that my hair is grey and not brunette. But I am still so drawn to this colour combination. This one is a cotton silk blend. This one is cashmere.
  3. Pink Stripe Cashmere – This stripe combination is so striking. And vibrant colours are something that is easy to wear with my grey hair. I have this in the high neck version and it has been the best purchase I have made this fall. So I have to think the crewneck version is going to be great too.
  4. Stripe long sleeve tee – I wear a long sleeve tee quite a bit at this time of the year. Especially when I am feeling like a sweater is too much but short sleeve is freezing. This stripe with the contrast collar is super fun.
  5. Stripe gloves – These are a fun way to add stripes and colour to your outerwear. I can picture them with an otherwise solid outfit.
  6. Stripe Rib tuque – Tuque or Beanie? Tuque is something we say in Canada but I feel like it is used less and less. Still this stripey wool hat is a fun option. Again I would picture this with maybe a navy peacoat, red scarf and this on my head.

Which of these stripey options can you see yourself adding to cart? I can definitely picture a few of these in my closet.

Do you shop Black Friday more or Boxing Day? I always find Boxing Day is more for shopping for myself. Where as Black Friday is when I am trying to finish up my shopping. Or adding things to Christmas presents that weren’t already on my radar.

Both sales seem to last for weeks now, but I find that if you don’t snap things up and wait it out too long things will get sold out.
