5 ways to upgrade your mini Christmas Trees

We are in the last few weeks before Christmas and if you are scrambling to get things set for visiting family, Christmas parties or other events you are not alone. One of the things I did this year was upgrade my mini Christmas Tree collection. For years I had a spot where I set them all out but this year I wanted to do something different. And I didn’t upgrade my collection by buying new “better” trees. I changed how I was displaying them. Here are 5 ways to upgrade your mini Christmas Trees.

Mini Christmas tree in a vase or vessel

5 Ways to Upgrade your Mini Christmas Trees

Put the Tree in a large vase or vessel – Originally I had bought this large jug looking vessel to hold winter faux branches. But when I got out my Christmas trees I had an epiphany. This tree which had always been finicky and toppled over easily works so much better in this vase.

Put the table top tree in a plant pot – I know what you are thinking. This is the same idea. Well sort of. But the vase or vessel often have a narrower opening which is limiting. Many of my mini Christmas Trees could not fit in this jug because their base was too big. However most of my mini trees will fit in an indoor plant pot.

mini christmas tree in vintage Santa pitcher

Put your tree in a vintage Santa mug – I have this mini tree in a vintage Santa pitcher but you get the idea. This option is really great with bottle brush trees as they are small enough for mugs. Want to find some vintage Santa or vintage inspired Santa mugs? Click HERE.

Put your tree in a basket – This is my least favourite. Mostly because I tend to have larger baskets that don’t fit the size of the mini table top Christmas Trees that I have. I love this idea for more mid size and full size Christmas trees because a large basket lends itself well to a larger tree. Also baskets are more often something that sits on the floor as opposed to a table. If you are going to do this option make sure to find a basket that suits the size of tree you have.

mini christmas tree in bucket

Put your tree in a bucket – I have had this bucket since I originally bought this white tree at Ikea. I liked the way they styled it so it has been like this forever. Don’t ask me why it took me so long to upgrade all the other trees?! You could also lean into the French country look and get some vintage buckets for styling.

How are you styling your mini Christmas Trees? Do you just put them out the way they are ? Or do you upgrade them somehow? Share your ideas in the comments.
