It has been the coldest, snowiest winter we have had in years. Which means I have been getting lots of wear out of my warmest coats and winter accessories.
In the past year I became obsessed with finding a shearling coat. I started pinning favourite shearling looks. The issue is new ones are easily $1000 and upwards. Also trendy brands aren’t necessarily size inclusive. I started looking at vintage or resale options because the price was more in line with a regular wool winter coat.
I found this one on Vestiaire which is where I find most of the resale items that I buy. They have so much selection and a good range. I found some options on Etsy too which were older options from the 80’s and 90’s. The etsy prices were under $400 so the most affordable of the bunch.
As much as this coat might be a really impractical purchase because suede is easily ruined in wet weather (aka snow) I still love it and will be experimenting with it more as we go.
