Christmas Shopping at Ikea; support Unicef

I was out at Ikea finishing up my Christmas shopping. Yep I am officially done. Just have to wrap and tag everything.

I went there specifically to get a few things for my daughter. There is a crawling tube that she enjoys and $1 of all the plush animal sales goes to UNICEF so I couldn’t resist adding an elephant to her collection.

Of course all the inexpensive decorating items were super tempting but what I was really blown away by was the UNICEF stand at the exit.

I had a bag like the one above and always got compliments on it. But one run in with a furry rodent and it was toast. So I was definitely drawn to the UNICEF version. It is perfect for a sunny holiday or save it for summertime.

Unicef IkeaI liked the bracelets above as well. I thought they would be great for tweeners or crafty ladies might want to break the bracelets apart to make their own!

I also noticed that if you want to just make a donation that there is a donation jar on the cart as well.

I kind of think that if the Ikea stores would allow it the UNICEF kiosk might do better business just inside the cashiers where people line up. I tend to rush on by as I leave the store instead of giving the kiosk a good look. In future I am going to slow down a bit!
