The New Bomber Jacket

Bomber jackets are making a big resurgence this spring. Much like the moto jacket has been reinvented in prints and alternative fabrics these bomber jackets are much better than the letterman of yore.

I actually tried on the two Topshop versions. They are both over-sized so if you are thinking about them I would size down. The boucle version is on the long side and drapey. Whereas the white jacket is more structured and sits at the hip.

To be honest I wasn’t really into the whole bomber jacket thing until I saw a the floral Rag & Bone on a fellow blogger and then the quilted H&M version on a few others.

I actually tried on the H&M version and it is so over-sized that I have no idea what size I am but I decided to try again with the Topshop versions. I really liked the way they fit. In fact pair them with slim black trousers and you could even wear them to the office. Check out how I would style a bomber jacket for work below.

More so than other jackets which by changing you can dress up or dress down an outfit, the bomber jacket can look edgy, sporty or even dressy depending how the outfit is styled.
