Finding the Perfect Leather Top

Leather has been having a huge moment lately. Not that it hasn’t been a staple in many peoples closets but for years it pretty much ended at a jacket or two and shoes.

But with the resurgence of leather pants both skinny and sweat style it seems that dressing in leather head to toe is no longer just for bad ass bikers.

Even t-shirts and tops are being reinvented in leathers making them the ultimate statement item for leather lovers.

Last week I was sent a similar peplum top by Nicholas to the leather one above from the girls over at ELUXE. I can tell you that the fit is AMAZING. The seaming is fantastic for hugging your body in all the right ways. They do fit big so you can probably size down, also because leather with stretch with wear.

Keep in mind that leather is HOT which is why so many of these tops have silk or cotton backs on them to let your body breathe.

If you are worried about what to wear with this, just style it as if it was a regular t-shirt or blouse. A leather top can look equally cool with skinny jeans as it would with a pencil skirt.

Personally I would stick to less volume on the bottom as a leather top is going to have more weight to it than a typical tee or blouse.
