Alexander Wang Rocco Review

One of the bags that I get the most compliments on is my Alexander Wang Rocco. I am not sure if it is because it is my most prolific or if it is just that cool.

Before I bit the bullet and picked up this bag last year for my birthday it was the ONE designer bag I always had to have. The hardware on the bottom is extremely cool and adds an edginess that few other bags have.

But it is heavy. Without even carrying anything this bag has weight. Not surprising though with all the studs on the bottom. They are so worth it though.

The leather looks as though it would be buttery soft. It isn’t and I think that was the one thing that didn’t live up to my expectation. The leather is of great quality and I love how it folds and slouches.

I have read other reviews about how this bag has no shape. If you are looking for a bag with structure this isn’t your option. If you like you bags with slouch and a bit of ease this is a great option. I think what might deceive people about this bag are the pictures where it must be stuffed in order to look so round and full.

Other details what you might no be aware of just by looking at the bag is the hidden zipped compartments at the ends of the bag in the folds. I also love how the stitching on the handles travels all the way down the side of the bag.

This is a not a new bag. The Rocco has been around since pre 2010. The most recognizable version is the black Rocco but it comes in new colours every year. There is even a small version the Rockie but I am not sure how much it can actually carry considering the Rocco isn’t exactly a large bag.

I also didn’t pay full price for this bag instead I found it on consignment for about half of retail. Find consignment options here, here or here.

Even though I have new and different bags in my closet the Alexander Wang Rocco is the IT bag in my closet.
