This summer marks the return of the jean cutoffs. The jort if you will. I haven’t sported a pair since highschool and I actually went out and bought a new pair. I considered making my own, probably the easiest DIY ever, but that would mean sacrificing a pair of jeans and I just wasn’t ready to do that.
American Eagle had these super cute Bermuda version because lets face it I am not going to be caught dead in a pair of so tiny jean cut-offs the pockets are showing shorts.
Still it was a bit weird shopping in AE as a 30 something but seriously these shorts are totally worth going in. They do stretch out alot, so which size you pick depends if you are going for a fitted or relaxed style.
Most would pair a tee or a tank with the cut offs but I am more prone to wearing a light gauzy blouse as I find them lighter for super hot days like today.
I have been wanting show off and wear this Stella & Dot Zahara Bib necklace since I got it but it is too tempting for the grabby hands of my 8 month old so I have to save it for when he is not in range.
Outfit details: White blouse Madewell (on sale now), Jean shorts AE (also like this style for $15!), belt Linea Pelle, Shoes Cynthia Vincent, Necklace Stella & Dot, Earrings Stella & Dot.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. We are heading off to the cottage soon so posting will be less regular. Happy Summer!
