Army Jacket Street Style

Army Jacket with Stripes

One trend that you see more than any other on style blogs is army jacket street style. I can tell you that I throw mine over just about everything. It looks great to dress down something corporate or just to keep everything relaxed on the weekend.

I wore this look to work last week as it was chilly and spring like. I put on my trench coat but just wasn’t feeling it so I pulled out my army jacket instead. Instantly I felt like the outfit just worked.

I was wearing these sandals when I originally posted this outfit but switched it up to these white classic Saltwater Sandals for the outfit post. Both work showing how easy it is to remix a army jacket street style look. In fact I have worn this dress (a crazy find at Target that looks so much more expensive than it is) different ways too (here and here ). It goes to show that finding quality fabrics at any price point means that you have something that will last.

Personally I think that an army jacket is something that everyone needs in their closet. I have had mine for a few years and I am glad that I bought one that is a modern fit for a woman instead of just buying a vintage mens jacket. There are so many good options if you don’t already have an army jacket. Try this or this or this!

What do you think about army jacket street style? Are you over it or is the style still relevant?

I am still wearing mine (obviously!) but not as much as I did in around 2011/2012. Instead of wearing it every day I pick and choose the right outfits
