Black Beach Finds

I am not usually one to do head to toe black but I do like mixing a mostly black outfit with some colour. Or black accessories with and outfit. I bought the black hat in this post as an alternative to the usual ecru beach hat and I am really loving it so I thought I would see what other black beach finds I could unearth. There are so many great options!

Black Beach Finds

1. Redwood Straw Hat – This is the hat that started it all. It gives a totally different feel to the more traditional looking Panama hat. Really love it. I got the M/L size and it fits well without being too loose or too tight. This is less expensive alternative that does sizing as well but more of a plain weave.
2. Sunglasses – these are still my favourite cheap and cheerful sunglasses. They look way more expensive than they are especially in the black.
3. Shirt Dress – This is the kind of dress that you can wear to work with a fancier belt or wear to the beach loose and free. It is the kind of dress I like to pack on a beach vacation so that I can wear it to dinner and then repurpose it as a beach cover up. I also have this in all the colours. Very soft and super versatile.
4. Seascape swimsuit – A black bathing suit is a classic option. I like the neckline on this and the structure that the seaming provides.
5. Gauze beach pants – If you don’t love pareos or dresses why not pick a beach pant? These could be worn for dinner with a cute top (like this!) and then repurposed by the pool over a bathing suit. These are another option.
6. Padded twist knot sandals – I have a version of these from a few years ago. The padding makes them so comfortable.
7. Leather trimmed basket bag – Not only is this basket bag a bit different looking on its own it is also a black basket bag which you don’t see as often as the natural raffia colour.
