I have had this Buffalo Plaid peacoat for a few years. It is one of those items in my closet that while I don’t wear all the time anymore but still love to pull out when I need a change.
In fact I had to talk myself out of buying a red peacoat because I feel like it might be a bit redundant with this coat still in rotation.
I kept everything simple and streamlined, except for the chunky snood. Buffalo check is one of those prints that can look a bit hick like or lumberjack. I actually try to avoid wearing this coat with my Sorel boots or any sort of trapper hat because well just picture it.
So how many of you are torn between wearing big winter boots and cute leather boots everywhere. I tend to go more practical with my Sorel’s but that is getting old fast. But with the amount of snow I have to walk through everywhere it is just the most practical option. Don’t even get me started on bare ankles in December.

Totally understand your struggle between snow or cute boots, and usually snow boots win for me, Toronto weather is just that cold! You look great, the coat is lovely and goes so well with stripes!
