When I bought this cape I had great intentions for a #30daysofplaid posting marathon on instagram. It really hasn’t gone to plan. With the weekend we have planned I am not sure it will get back on track.

We have had a death in the family and a weekend away in Toronto didn’t help either. Basically my real life has taken precedence to anything related to posting online.
Truly that is how it should be isn’t it? I always see this online stuff to be filler for when I need something to do as opposed to be the main focus of my everyday. Maybe it would be different if this was my day job instead of a hobby.
What I like about this plaid cape (aside from the fact that it is a chic warm layer for this time of year) is that the plaid is more neutral based. The red pops against the black, brown and cream. It is a plaid that will have longevity beyond the Christmas season. Which means increased wearability.

Do you ever start things with good intentions? Especially during the Holidays?

Sorry to read about your loss. No time of year is good for this but the later in the year seems to be far worse as it is a time we remember those we love more be them here or taken from us. Thinking of you. Jill x

Sorry for your loss Jane. We also went to a family funeral recently, very sobering.
That cape looks fabulous on you by the way! Love the colourway.
