If you have been reading this blog for any time you would know that I have two kids. A little girl and a little boy. They are where I start my Christmas shopping because they are fun to shop for and much more vocal about what they want and what they like.
My daughter is older and has the most to say about what is on her wish list. So here is my Christmas Gift Guides for Little Girls.
I think every kid who has watched frozen has something Anna & Elsa on their wish list this Christmas. Maybe even Olaf singing about Summer. My daughter loves the plush dolls from the Disney store but there is Frozen stuff here and here among many others I am sure.
A friend of mine goes by a certain rule of thumb when shopping for gifts at Christmas; Something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read. It is a great guideline and it can keep the excessive buying down if you (ok me) stick to just ticking the boxes. Anna & Elsa are definitely in the WANT category.
The sparkly silver dress and red cardigan fit into the wear category. I like to get something like this that can be used for events later in the day or over the rest of the Holidays while we are visiting family.
The Pete the Cat books are something I have been meaning to track down for my daughter from the first time that she talked about the books last year. Kids LOVE these books, they are funny, there are songs and tapes that go with the books. The Plush Pete is so fun to add in there.
In the need category is anything you need to add to their wardrobe like new winter boots, a new winter coat. These are staples that kids need and might not be that excited about. We are going to start the kids in skiing this winter. They are too little to really know what that means but part of their gift will likely be a helmet and goggles.
Ok so I have ticked all the boxes but there is still stuff here in the round up! Well I like to get everyone a new pair of pjs to wear Christmas eve. The bunny slippers are just too cute, even though I am sure my daughter would be way more jazzed by Stompeez.
A few years ago I got my daughter a sleeping bag (this is very similar, this is the one featured above). It wasn’t because we were big campers, but for lounging around on a sunday morning. It is nice to have a little space that is all their own. A fun mini chair would be just as cool.
