Not every Christmas event requires a dress. Whether you have a Christmas lunch with colleges or if you are teacher showing your Christmas sprit with you class a colour blocked outfit of red, green and white will keep you looking professional and festive.
I have had the green coat in my closet for a long time now. The lining is so pretty and the colour is so vibrant. I do not wear it on a regular basis but I can’t bear to send it to the thrift store because it really comes in handy once a year. Well twice if you count St. Patrick’s Day.
This outfit features another closet must have for me this year. The turtleneck sweater has come back in a big way. This one has the perfect turtleneck. It isn’t too tight in the neck but at the same time it isn’t so big and sloppy that it would be mistaken for a cowl neck sweater. I have a few more on my radar like this one.
The other thing I love about this Madewell Turtleneck sweater is the high low hem. It allows for extra bum coverage with I am all for. The back of this sweater also is a different knit without the cables that are on the front. That and the extra long cuffs add to its appeal. I would say that it is a modern fishermans sweater but the yarn is much softer. It is a chunky knit so you will need one of your roomier coats to accomodate the extra bulk.
Outfit details: Coat JCREW (this is an older style of the Lady Day coat, this is a similar colour), red trousers JCREW (similar, similar), cableknit turtleneck sweater Madewell, mid calf ankle boots Joe Fresh, hat Club Monaco.

Thank you! I will try my best - I will have to go into the archives because I don't have any new outfits for this week.
