I am a curvy petite 40 plus woman. That means styles I wore in my twenties don’t really flatter any longer and I have instead embraced ruching. That doesn’t mean the swimwear I wear now isn’t cute. I am just more conscious about figure flattering styles as opposed to rocking teeny bikinis. I love a square neckline and some colour blocking for a slimming effect. Sharing my cute bathing suits for curvy figures below.
Cute Bathing Suits for Curvy Figures
- Colourblock Santorini Halter Swimsuit – This is hands down my favourite bathing suit I own. I get compliments on it when I wear it as the colour blocking is super flattering. It looks slimming without actually having to suck anything in. Plus the square neckline keeps you from looking too boobylicious. I like that I can use the halter when I want more support or untie it to avoid tan lines. This suit is true to size. This is another gorgeous bandeau option.
- Corsica Swimsuit – I just ordered this one and I can’t wait for it to arrive. It has ruching to flatter through the torso and I like the contrast trim. This suit fits small so size up.
- The Sidestroke – This swimsuit has taken the world by storm. My neighbour has one and she swears it is the most flattering one she owns. I love that they show how this swimsuit fits on different body types. It comes in lots of colour combos and even monochromatic.
- Long Sleeve Rashguard – My husband and kids are regular rashguard users. My husband gets sun poisoning (super terrible itchy rashes) when he over does it in the sun so swim shirts are a must for him. Kids are hard to get sunscreen on all the time so swim shirts are our cheat. I have ordered a few more for myself included so that long days at the pool or beach I can be covered up too. Are you team stripes or solids?
- Underwire square neck swimsuit – I am a sucker for a tropical print but more importantly this swimsuit is sized by cup size. It goes from a C cup to a GG! This style is all about support. If you aren’t into the print there is a solid green or black option. This is a more affordable option.
- Wide strap one piece animal print bathing suit – I know I am beating a dead horse but this square neckline! It has a classic retro feel to it but also is super flattering. Especially if you aren’t into having boobs everywhere at the pool with other families. I love an animal print and this one is so fun!
- The Marina – I put this one on the list because I saw a plus influencer modelling a bunch of the Summersalt swimwear and this one was ridiculously flattering. The cut and the colourblocking made for something fantasitc for curvy figures.
