This is my easy going go to summer outfit. It has been cool on and off lately. And by cool I mean not so hot I hate wearing clothes. It is actually quite lovely 20 degrees, but it does mean in the mornings I can stand wearing a jacket or sweater layer.
I picked up this army green biker style jacket on sale at Aritzia and it is one of those things that I probably should save until fall but I couldn’t wait to wear so here it is already.
The jacket is oversized. I could have gotten away with a medium, but this way I can layer up without feelings squished when it gets colder.
I have to admit that Aritzia is not somewhere I usually shop. In store I feel much too old to be in there and it is one of those places that I see cute things online and can never seem to get over the TNA sweats to dig through the racks and find what I like.
I do much better with this store online. I can actually sort through the junior stuff and find items that works for an older demographic. Like this jacket. And the blouse in Monday’s post.
Yes this is the same leopard clutch you saw earlier in the week. I love it. It is so soft and supple I want to carry it everywhere and just pet it. I would highly recommend to grab one of these Clare Vivier clutches – you won’t be dissappointed. Unlike some clutches where you have to scale back what you carry, this one is quite large and can still handle quite a bit of what you might want to carry around.
This summer has been the year of espadrilles for me. I think they look more chic than Toms and I am so sick of finding and reinserting my Toms liner that I picked up a pair of Soludos. This is my second pair, this time JCREW, which I picked up on sale for $15!! I can’t find them on sale on the website – so grab them in store. I saw lots of larger sizes at Yorkdale Mall if you are local.
Outfit details: Army jacket in a biker style Aritzia, novelty days of the week t-shirt JCREW (love this & this), white jean shorts GAP, leopard clutch Clare Vivier (here, CDNs here), stripe espadrilles JCREW (Soludos version), bracelet Unikati.
Have you started wearing any fall items now?

I feel the same way about Aritzia. I'm 34, and pretty sure that I'm out of their target demographic. I still like their Talula Babaton line though... bought my first suit ever from that line back in 2001.

We are close in age Liana (I'm 35) and what is funny there are alot of really nice work appropriate items but they get lost amongst all the more trendy pieces. I think that is the point of their Wilfred stores to go after an older deogramphic but I still find more online.
