It is that time of year again. When I go through your closet and figure out what kind of easy Halloween costume you can put together with items you already have in your closet.
This time I have a few more options for the men, but really they are unisex because they can easily be adapted for men or women.
The first option is Clark Kent transforming into Superman. The only thing you might have to go out and buy is the Superman logo t-shirt which I have seen at Target and even at The Gap or Old Navy from time to time. What makes this costume so easy is that it is based around Superman’s alter ego, which means you can wear civilian clothes. Traditionally Clark Kent is seen in a navy suit, glasses (go for something round, maybe a bit 80’s circa Christopher Reeve). This is a great option for someone going to work in the corporate environment for the day but going out to a Halloween theme party after work.
Gone are the days of this version of Brittney but it makes for a fun easy costume. Many of the items in this school girl outfit are hot again and easily found in stores or in your wardrobe. Extra points for finding those fluffy pink hair elastics! But in all seriousness with a short flare skirt, white button down tied over a black bra, grey cardi, over the knee socks and the very popular loafer you are set. The key is to tie the shirt at the mid-driff and piggy tail braids. Maybe even set your iphone to Hit Me Baby One More Time.
When I was a kid these books were all the rage. Which I think is why so many of us find it to be a fun to dress up as Where’s Waldo for Halloween. That and it is a super easy costume to put together from your closet. I mean all you really need is a pair of straight leg jeans, a red stripe shirt, brown boots and a white beanie with a red pom pom. Extra points for the cane.
What are you wearing for Halloween?
