So yes this is yet another post with me in my favourite trench coat. Basically this is my go to layer right now until it gets even colder. Sure I could be sharing some outfits with moto jackets but I just wasn’t feeling it this morning so you get my trench coat again.
The loafers in this outfit I just found again. I had wondered where on earth I had put them away. I thought I had packed them up in shoe boxes for the season like I do my summer sandals, but when I pulled those out of storage in the spring no snake loafers. I found them when looking for a pair of boots. So glad because these were exactly what my feet needed today. I wore a pointier toe shoe the day before and I think my bunion has gotten worse since by the end of the day my big toe was sore. So these loafers still have that sleek look but do not aggravate the toe. And considering I usually go for a higher quality shoe these are a very affordable Gucci loafer dupe that is worth snapping up. I got mine last year but they are still making them. Just note that the snake print is a bit darker this time around.
The jeans are newer and already almost sold out in Canada but lots of sizes still in the US. I have been obsessed with straight leg styles lately. I have cut off a few pairs to get that cropped look. These say cropped but on me they are the perfect length to wear with flats. I am going to keep these as is so I have a variety to work with. I love the washed out black almost grey colour. I love the higher waist and the weight of the denim.
The black twist top I am wearing is one I have shared here loads of times. It is also one of those things in my wardrobe that people always want to know where it is from. Well even though I have had it for a few years you can still snag it here.
Other than my outfit life has been all about the new back to school routine. The past two years my kids have been on the bus but the bus got taken away (sidewalks were put in so route is now walkable) so we have a whole new system. I like it and it is a challenge all at the same time. I have been leaving work at the same time I always have but because the kids are walking home now I feel I am more rushed. I think as they get more used to it I will be able to meet them farther away from the school. Also drop off I think I am going to have to try kiss and ride especially once it gets colder. Feels a bit trial and error at this point!
It might be a bit early for a scarf but I feel like my outfits feel more finished with it so just consider this a preview.
