Soon all the snow in these photos will be melting and temperatures will be above zero. We will be putting away our parkas and picking out spring jackets instead. This quilted jacket is great as a jacket on its own or even as a blazer until it warms up more. It can even be worn as a liner under your rain coat for all those spring days that are cool and raining. Sharing my Everlane Cotton Quilted Jacket review. Note the jacket was gifted but all opinions are my own.
One of the drawbacks of living in a northern country is that spring comes much later for us than retail would have you believe. Even when the snow starts melting we have a chilly transition. Spring is rainy but many rain coats aren’t all that warm. One of the reasons I was interested in this quilted liner was because it would be something warm to layer under this raincoat.
Everlane Cotton Quilted Jacket Review
Is this coat warm?
Keep in mind this is not a winter coat. I was quite cold taking these photos even though I had layers underneath. It would be fine for cooler spring temperatures but definitely needs to be worn above zero degrees.
How does it fit?
The quilted cotton isn’t exactly huge like old school puffers but it does add some bulk. It feels quite light on your body however, but it will add to your curves. The structure of the jacket though makes it look intentional. The length makes for a great silhouette. The cotton is soft and comfortable. Pick your regular size as the coat fit true to size. I was able to layer a thin knit underneath without issue but chunky knits would be an issue. Considering this is a spring coat layering a chunky knit is probably not a priority.
Does it come in more colours?
YES! This off white that I have but it also comes in a green clover colour.
Does it layer?
Yes! I was able to layer it under my anorak. It was a bit awkward at first as the structured sleeves are a not what I am used to manuvering under a coat. But as long as your raincoat (or whatever you want to layer over top) doesn’t have slim sleeves.
This coat feels very 90’s. My mom definitely had something similar back in the day but instead of minimalist cream it was some sort of patterned version in colour.
If you are buying it because you want a liner jacket I would suggest going with this options since it is thinner and easier to layer. But if you are looking to wear it as a blazer or spring jacket then I think this is a great minimalist looking option.

Hi there! Love your article. Do you mind sharing with me what size you ordered? I love this jacket but I am unsure of how to size.

I got a large. It is fairly true to size. I am usually a large unless things fit very oversized.
