As soon as it is warm enough to shed socks I am in sandals. I am always on the lookout for a good looking sandal that will work for the office and weekend seamlessly but that also doesn’t cause any foot pain. Blisters are no fun and straps have to work with a bunion. I was lucky to be offered a chance to test out the latest Day sandal from Everlane. This is my Everlane Day Crossover Sandal Review. Thank you to Everlane for the gifted sandals, all opinions are my own.
Everlane Day Crossover Sandal Review
The Day series of shoes for Everlane are known for their soft leather. The cross over style is one I like the look of but they are particularly luxurious in this sandal because of the super soft leather.
I found the fit a bit snug at first but after one day of wear the leather had stretched out to accommodate my foot. I am always conscious of my bunion on my right foot. Especially in shoes that will go over it in some way with straps. This sandal is super bunion friendly all thanks to the soft leather.
Like most Everlane shoes these sandals are narrow. I picked my usual Everlane size of 8.5 and they fit great. They also seem to succeed at making my feet look narrow, which is a feat in itself. I have had zero blisters wearing these shoes and I have worn them walking around at a fundraising event and to the office many times this spring.
The style comes in five of different colours. I am wearing the Mocha but the camel looks just gorgeous.
These are a flat sandal. There is no support and no heel. The sole is very flexible which makes wearing the cross over sandal more like a fancy upscale flip flop. If you are looking for a more supportive sandal that is like a birkenstock this is not your option. If you are looking for a cute slide that goes from the office to the BBQ this is a great choice.
Personally I think this might be my favourite sandal from Everlane. I have tried a few that are now discontinued and these that are in the sale in some colours but the Crossover slide is just so soft and easy going that it is my top pick.
Everlane has free international express shipping today so now might be the time to pick up a pair.

These look super comfy, more like a slipper than a sandal. I will look out for them. Finding a shoe/sandal which is comfortable is hard work when you have a broad foot and a high instep. People like me and I am sure that I am not unique are not catered for unless it is for a shoe which is very old fashioned. Thank you for sharing. They are very comfy! I find slides like these are usually made of stiff leather that you need to break in and these have no break in period.
