Mules have quickly become a favourite style of shoe to wear once the weather warms up. Easy to slip on and off but still polished looking for the office. Everlane took their Day Loafer and made it into a mule. I am already calling it that this will be a popular shoe of mine this spring and summer. My Everlane Day Loafer Mule review will share why I think this shoe is a great addition to your work wardrobe. Everlane sent me these shoes but all opinions are my own.
Everlane Day Loafer Mule Review
Much like the Everlane Day Loafer, the mule version is made with soft Italian leather. Like buttery soft leather. The soles are rubber making them super easy to walk in without slipping.
The fit of the Day Loafer Mule is small. Size up at least half a size. Go a full size up if you have wide feet. I went with my usual Everlane size of 8.5 but they JUST fit. I don’t have much space at the heel. However, I know with the soft leather it will give and mold to my foot so I am not too fussed about that, but if I went up to a 9 it would have more room without feeling TOO big.
Even though these mules are a flat they don’t feel flat against the ground. The rubber sole means you can run errands like you are wearing sneakers but looking so much more polished.
The almond toe is super chic. If you don’t like a pointed toe because it adds too much length to the shoe or you just don’t like the style I think you are going to like the more rounded look of the Day Loafer Mule.
I have the Day Loafer in the Caramel. The leather seems more matte when compared with the red mule. The red is that perfect pop of colour.
If I had to choose between the Day Loafer and the Day Loafer Mule I would choose the mule. I like the easy on and off. I also find the elastic at the back of the Day Loafer can run a bit tight. Especially when wearing the loafers in the summer. The mule can accommodate swollen summer feet much easier.
I think Everlane has hit a home run with this shoe. I love the toe shape and the soft leather. I think the style is super chic. It looks great for the office with trousers but also works well with denim. What do you think of the Everlane Day Loafer Mule review? Is this a shoe you are thinking about snapping up?
