I really like simple sandals. Ones that will look good with a dress but just as easily work with jean shorts. Stuff that is too fussy with lots of straps can be a bit much. Sometimes sandals can be complicated with wide feet or bunions. Soft wide leather is generally a much easier time working with my feet and give a minimal chic vibe at the same time. My Everlane Day Slide Review shares the pros and cons of the look and feel of the Day Slide. I was lucky to be sent a pair of these slides from Everlane to try out, all opinions are my own.
Everlane Day Slide Review
I was sent these slides by Everlane before we went to Jamaica and took them along on our vacation. They quickly became my pool slides because they were so easy to slip on and off.
The Day slide has the same soft Italian leather other Day series shoes have as well. I don’t find it quite as soft as the cross over style of this sandal but it isn’t stiff hard leather. It is also double wrapped which is to avoid blisters. So far I haven’t had any chafing or blisters wearing these slides.
There is a snug fit. I chose the same 8.5 size that I usually chose when picking out Everlane shoes. You can see in the pictures above that the strap is quite wide and with the snug fit you don’t really see all of your toes peeking out at the end of the shoe.
The sandal is flat. There is a very minimal heel. Although it is so slight I caution to really call it a heel. The sole is super flexible which makes them feel like an upscale flip flop. Chicer and softer than your average flip flop, but lightweight and easy to walk in. I wore them so much in Jamaica for this reason.
If I am going to be nit picky some of the drawbacks are how my foot doesn’t really seem to go all the way through. But if you look at the model’s theirs don’t either so I guess that is my personal preference. On the flip side I really like the wide strap as it gives me all the minimalistic feels.
I also don’t love how the sandal has creased with wear. I don’t know how you get around this as I much prefer the softer leather to something that is stiff and keeps it’s shape but also cuts your feet. These sandals definitely don’t cut your feet.
All in all they are a beautiful sandal that goes with everything without even trying.

Sliders look great and I see so many people wearing them. Sandly though I find them impossible to keep on my feet. Regards - Jill stylishatsixty www.stylishatsixty.wordpress.com

You might like these ones then! They fit a bit snug I haven't had that flying off the feet feeling at all! Very different feel than a pool slide which I find a bit sloppy and loose.
