Summer outfits need summer sandals. Sometimes you just want a barely there minimalistic sandal that looks good when you are paying attention but also just blends into the background while complimenting an outfit. This Everlane Double-Strap Block Heel Sandal review will show you that this is that sandal. The one that you are going to want to pair with every summer dress. Please note I was gifted these sandals, but all opinions are my own.
Everlane Double-Strap Block Heel Sandal Review
The first thing I noticed about these sandals was how soft the leather was. Like Butta! But also how minimal they are. The straps aren’t super thin an yet they don’t feel like much at all. I like how the toe strap actually goes across the toes and not further up on the foot. That said if you have narrower feet than me it could fit you differently than across the toe cleavage.
The second strap is an ankle strap but not one of those ugly ankle straps that cuts off the rest of your leg. No instead it sits on an angle to the ankle and around the heel. This strap is adjustable and there is a bit of elastic, however I wish it had a bit more length. Not everyone has dainty ankles especially once we get older.
There is a two inch block heel. This is a great walkable height. They do give the sandals a bit of a retro feel and maybe aren’t as sleek as something you would wear with an evening gown but for the most part go with everything.
I chose the camel colour. The sandals also come in black, white, pale pink and sand lizard. I wanted something neutral that would go with everything and aside from the pink I think all the options really do go with everything.
I haven’t walked extensively in these shoes. Just at the office and to dinner. Places where I do quite a bit of sitting in between all the walking. That being said this is the heel height of my favourite Everlane boots that I wear to death. It is a good walkable height but keep in mind that I would walk long distances in runners not fashion boots or sandals. Still I think these sandals would be more comfortable than other choices for say a wedding.
The name of the shoe might be a mouthfull (Double-strap Block Heel Sandal) but the sandal itself is a minimal barely there option without being too strappy or pointy or high.
