Spring and summer is when I gravitate more towards wider leg. I don’t have to tuck my pants into boots to trudge through the snow so I want some pants with drama. But we have also spent the past year in comfy clothes working from home. I don’t want to feel too constricted. If I can get away without a regular waistband without sacrificing style. I am there. The Everlane Easy Pant review will share why these pants bridge the gap between sweats and traditional trousers making them a must have.
Everlane Easy Pant Review
The Everlane Easy Pant is an elastic waist wide leg cotton pant. They come in a bunch of colours like black, the honey brown above and khaki green.
Wide leg pants can be tricky when sized up for curvier bodies. Either I find they aren’t actually wide fitting too tight on my thighs or just end up looking really slim. OR they are so comically wide that they look ridiculous.
The Everlane Easy pant fits more like a trouser that is the same width from the hips to hem. They fit relaxed on the thigh.
Compared with the GoWeave Easy pant these fit much wider. The GoWeave style that is on sale is a more tapered fit, but comes off as a more traditional looking trouser due to the material.
Length wise these are full length pants on me. I am 5’4 and they are in no way cropped on me like shown on the model.
I like the exaggerated cuff at the bottom. They definitely remind me of chinos I had back in the early aughts.
If you are more short waisted these might not be an ideal pant for you as there might end up being too much fabric in the crotch area. I find that they fit best high waisted but because they are elastic waist you can sort of sit them lower too and it works.
When I was younger I wouldn’t be caught dead in elastic waist pants outside of sweats. I always found they didn’t sit well on my body and cut my curves in the wrong way. I liked how a buttoned waist seemed to sit smoother. Now that I am over 40 I appreciate elastic waist pants much more. For one they are comfy. But they also allow grace for the female body that can be different sizes throughout the day let along different sizes at different times of the month. I also think elastic waist styles have improved greatly. Maybe it is because they sit higher on the waist, or that elastic technology has improved. Either way I find they are more flattering on my body.
I love the lightweight cotton fabric of these pants. I was wearing these just sitting around the house the other day and they were so comfortable. But they look just as good at the office. I personally like that they are full length pants not cropped.
What do you think about the Everlane Easy Pant Review? Is this a style of pants you want to wear this year?
