Everlane Easy Shorts Review

Finding shorts that fit nicely are a tough thing to find. They never seem to fit the same as full length trousers. Length can be an issue as so many shorts are crazy short. Everlane kindly gifted me a pair of their Easy Shorts. The Easy Short is the shorts version of their Easy Pant. These pull on cotton twill shorts have become one of my go to options this year. Everlane Easy Shorts Review

The Everlane Easy Short is an elastic waist short made with cotton twill. They are 5 inches long and come in a range of colours from green, off white, blue stripe and classic black.

The cotton twill is crisp and lightweight. There isn’t much drape, they are definitely a more tailored short. They remind me of a classic khaki short but more relaxed feeling thanks to the elastic waist.

These shorts are the short version of the Easy Pant. The major difference between the Easy Pants and the Easy Shorts is the back pocket. The Easy shorts have more of a trouser pocket whereas the Easy Pants have more of a patch pocket. I prefer the pocket on the shorts.

Size wise I got the same size as I wore in the Easy Pants and the Easy jeans. I often size up in shorts because they are cut too slim in the thighs. These are easy through the thigh as the name suggests. I would not size up unless you want your shorts to fit very loose.

I think one of the things that makes these shorts so wearable is the length. The 5 inch length is still well above the knee but isn’t a short short length. You can walk about in these shorts and not have to constantly adjust them or wear them low on your hips for additional length.

Whether I am wearing these shorts with a white blouse or a black tee these shorts work for backyard barbeques and city sightseeing with ease.

I have never really felt like a shorts person. I wear them when I get hot out of necessity not because I like shorts. I feel more put together in dresses. But shorts like the Easy Shorts make me feel a bit more comfortable in my own skin when I wear shorts.
