When my contact at Everlane asked me last month if I wanted to try out some of the July releases I knew I wanted to go with the polka dot items. I shared the shirt dress already but I have styled the polka dot oversized shirt. It is made of the same cupro material that gives the feel of silk with the ease of cotton. This is my Everlane Polka Dot Oversized Shirt review.

Everlane Polka Dot Oversized Shirt Review
Most shirts that are labelled oversized are a bit longer and generous across the chest so that I can wear them with out any pulling. This shirt from Everlane however does actually feel oversized. The cut is a bit boxy through the body and is long enough that it goes now past my bum.
When I first put the shirt on I noticed that it was big. To the point where I thought I could probably get away with a smaller size. I ordered the 12 and I really think I could have gotten away with the 10. The sleeves are also long. Taller girls I know will like to hear that because it means the sleeves won’t be too short.
When I look at these pictures I don’t feel like the shirt looks too large. Relaxed and drapey yes but not too big. I also love how it layers with jackets. The longer shirt contrasted with the shorter jacket is what I love about layering for fall.
Just like the shirt dress this blouse is made with cupro which is a fabric made of regenerated cellulose fibers. Honestly it feels like silk but washes more like cotton. That is win win in my book.
The shape of this shirt is like a traditional button down. The shirt dress has a different neckline.
The one thing I struggle with because the shirt is oversized is that it feels a bit sloppy on me when paired with work trousers. For those who are taller I don’t think it would be an issue but those who are petite are going to have this fit issue. Still as I mentioned these pictures make it look less long and big than I perceived it in real life.
There is also quite a bit of fabric to tuck in to wear it as the models do on Everlane’s website. At least for me at 5’4 versus the models who are over 5’10.
I think that petite women should be aware that the oversized fit will affect how this shirt looks on them.
One of the perks of this shirt being made of curpo is that it isn’t see through. All of the silk shirts I own that are white are completely see through so you need a camisole so as to not completely flash everyone. I was only wearing a nude bra with this shirt and it was acceptable.
Of course if you were wearing a dark bra you would be able to see it but so long as you stick to nude it should be fine.

What do you think of the Everlane Polka dot oversized shirt review? Is this a shirt you want in your closet? The fabric is so silky I know I will get loads of wear out of it. The oversized fit makes it great for layering.
