Everlane Puff Sweater Review

The Puff Sweater is a light and airy crew neck sweater made with a mix of merino, alpaca and cotton yarns. The neckline has the signature stuff neckline that I can guess gives the sweater the puff name. The Everlane Puff Sweater Review will share why this soft and relaxed knit is a must wear through the colder seasons. I do work with Everlane from time to time but I bought this sweater myself because I loved the look and feel.

Everlane Puff Sweater Review

The Everlane Puff sweater has two distinct things that make this sweater recognizable. The puffy rounded collar and the horizontal changes to the knit pattern that give the sweater amazing texture. I am not usually drawn to a beige sweater but these two style elements make this sweater for me even in the neutral tone. In fact I may prefer it in this neutral colour because it allows the style elements to pop.

The puff sweater is made of a mixture of merino, alpaca and cotton yarns. The feel is very light but also very warm. The over all feel is very similar to the Alpaca sweater but with much more visual interest.

Everlane describes this sweater as oversized. By now I am familiar enough with Everlane sizing to know that oversized is more of a relaxed fit. Oversized to me means I have to consider if I should size down; it would be so big that it would be considered a size up from non oversized clothing. I would not recommend sizing down in this sweater. Take your usual size. I took a large. It is a comfortable relaxed fit. If you want something truly oversized I would consider sizing up.

I am wearing this sweater without anything underneath. Usually I would wear a white layering tee or cami or something. However my scoop neck tee was very obvious underneath this sweater. It isn’t exactly see through but I would recommend wearing something that is seamless or a crewneck.

I have the puff sweater in heathered oat. It also comes in a soft purple colour and a teal blue grey colour. Orchid is a very pretty delicate option. The blue grey shows the horizontal stripes much more clearly. They really pop.

What makes this sweater a must have in my opinion is the neckline. The puffy crew neck is such a cool distinctive feature.
