Most of the time I don’t see myself as a puffer or parka person. When I am going to the office I am more of a wool wrap coat kinda girl. Or a wool topcoat. But parkas and puffers serve a purpose. They are perfect for the school run. For all of February. For polar vortexes. And for anything sporty even if it is just a long walk in the snow. Everlane sent me one of their ReNew Puffers to try out and share my thoughts with my Everlane ReNew Long Puffer Review.
Everlane ReNew Long Puffer Review
The ReNew in the name give you a hint as to the make up of this puffer. It is made of almost 100% recycled materials. The zippers and snaps are the only thing they couldn’t get made out of recycled materials.
The first thing I noticed when I put on the ReNew Long Puffer was that it is a dense coat. You can tell it will be warm in COLD temperatures. You could feel the quality, which is great because for the same price other coats are just not going to feel THIS good.
I read a few reviews that said this coat was boxy. I would argue it is more rectangular since it is long and not cropped or square. What I mean is that it has a very straight almost masculine fit. There is no flare out for women’s hips. It fits the same straight up and down.
There is a drawstring waist if you like to cinch in the waist. There is also a dual zip. Since I find the straight fit goes against my bodys curves a bit, unzipping at the bottom alleviates this to a degree. Allows for a bit of an artificial flare.
I am 5’4 and as you can see this long style hits me just above the knee.
The pockets are fleece lined and deep. This coat does not have the hidden side pockets though. Still if you forget your mittens you can stuff your hands in the deep pockets and they will feel soft and warm.
The hood is not fleece lined and there is no fur trim. I thought the hood was a nice functional size.
Overall this is an amazing quality coat. I have tried on high end jackets like this before and they cost at least double what Everlane is charging.

If you need a heavy duty winter puffer this is a great option. I don’t think this is the type of jacket you wear all winter however since it would be overkill if you are just going from the house to the car to somewhere else indoors. But if you are going to be outside picking up your kids from school or the bus this is your coat. Walking the dog in a polar vortex? This is your coat.
What do you think of the Everlane ReNew Long Puffer review? Is this a coat you have your eye on?

Love the colour but not too sure on the jacket/coat. It does have a shapeless look about it. However, it looks as though it will be a super warm coat and lightweight too. Regards - Jill stylishatsixty www.stylishatsixty.wordpress.com

It is a very straight cut but once it hits minus 20 fashion goes out the window in favour of warmth!
