For a long time I really loved the look of a passport case. It seemed to me like a more luxurious way to carry a passport. Until I actually tried it. It didn’t last long. It ended up being an extra layer I didn’t need. But a Travel Wallet makes more sense since I use pouches to organize all my travel documents and any cards anyways. For the past few weeks I have been using the Everlane Traveler Wallet to replace my everyday wallet. I was lucky enough to be gifted one to share with you but to be honest it was a style of wallet I had been looking into on my own. This is my Everlane Traveler Wallet Review.
Everlane Traveler Wallet Review
The Everlane Traveler Wallet comes in 4 different colours. It is made with Spanish leather. There is a tab snap closure to keep everything closed up and a zip closure on the change purse. There are 8 card slots which is pretty standard. There is also a spot to put your bills, travel documents or receipts in behind the card slots. The other side is a slot for your passport.
What I like about this wallet is that while it seems big it is actually pretty thin. It is lighter than my last wallet too. I don’t carry my passport around inside my wallet on the day to day but I could if I wanted. And if you are the type of person who has to travel at a moments notice it really is perfect.
The change purse is actually pretty deep which is nice. I would be likely to just keep both my change and bills in there as then you don’t have to worry about anything dropping out.
In the product promo video Everlane has on their website they show the spot where I have the passport above for bills, the slot behind the cards for an iphone and the zip pouch for the passport. I tested this out with my Canadian passport and I couldn’t fit it in the zip portion, but it did fit in the slot behind the cards. Also my iphone 7 fit in the slots as well so long as I didn’t have a large case. But I don’t usually put my phone in my wallet so it really isn’t a feature I am concerned with though it is nice to have the option.
As you can see I went with the red leather Traveler Wallet. It really is a gorgeous shade. I also like that it stands out inside my purse. If I was to chose my second favourite I would go with the cognac leather. The leather is sturdy as opposed to soft and supple. I am not worried about scratching the leather and I was able to wipe it clean fairly easily. It is the kind of leather that will get softer with time and use.
As far as I know there is no RFID protection with this wallet. I guess it is a trade off between style or security. I choose style and just being smart about what I carry with me while I travel as opposed to having a RFID wallet I don’t really want because it is ugly.
The Everlane Traveler Wallet is a beautiful wallet that you will want to use for every day as well as for keeping yourself organized while traveling.
I was gifted the Traveler Wallet for review. All opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting chic everywhere partners.

I just got mine in the mail yesterday and couldn't wait to open it. It was beautiful and yes large enough to put your receipts, credit cards and stuff. I haven't decided yet if I want to use it right away but it was lovely. Maybe I will use it sometime.

I like the idea of this - but at first being a 'traveller wallet' thought it was something large enough to keep your passport and all your travel documents in ( not bank and store cards). Had this been larger I would have added this to my Xmas list as it looks to be a beautiful and soft Spanish leather. I would like to see this company produce a nice soft wallet just for cards, I personally have too many to fit into my purse and end up hunting for them in whichever safe place they are stored or do not have them on me! Oh and red would have been my choice of colour also.

So the wallet does fit my passport and travel docs in the two slots but not in the zip pouch. The American passport must be smaller than the Canadian one! But really I hadn't even thought of putting the passport in the zip coin purse anyways. I want it handy to just pull out for inspection while I am at the airport. In the pictures I have the passport with the back part slipped into the fold so that I can pull it out at the picture page easily. It also fits into the slot behind the cards. Maybe I should add more pictures to show how the passport fits.
If you are looking for just a card wallet this one is nice. Not as many slots for cards as the one I featured though.
