Eyelet and Stripes

I picked up this dress from Loft on one of their bigger sales (it is now marked down!!). I loved the combination of eyelet and stripes. It was packed to go with me to Brazil but because I over packed it never got worn. I will share more on what I over packed and what I wish I had packed for our trip in an upcoming post.

Of course I had to style it a bit differently since it is cooler here than it was while we were away, but I really like how this turned out. 

Because the top of the dress is this navy eyelet and the bottom is the striped cotton the whole outfit comes off as separate pieces. But it is so much easier than that because it is just a dress and a jacket.

The shoes I have here are an older pair of wedge espadrilles from JCREW that I had fixed because the little elastic on the strap had failed. I am so glad I did because they are one of my favourite summer shoes and otherwise there was nothing wrong with them! Extending the life of good quality shoes makes so much more sense than buying a cheap replacement.

Loft offers better sales in the US but there is so many cute things at affordable prices I don’t even mind that much. Ok maybe a little. You can shop some of my recent favourites below.
