Every year after Halloween has passed my inner prep comes out. Plaid because desirable, festive colour combinations and Fair Isle sweaters become things dreams are made of. The thing is after Christmas these things don’t have the same hold over me. But in November and December it is like I have no will power. I thought I would round up all the Fair Isle sweaters that have caught my eye this season. Great to wear as a festive alternative to a cheesey Christmas sweater. Certain colour combinations have more longevity past December 25th.
Fair Isle Sweaters
Fair Isle Funnel Neck Sweater – This might be my favourite of the bunch. I love this neckline and the bright blue and black just pops. This is a higher end version.
Fair Isle Turtleneck Sweater – Ok I also really like this one. And to find a red fair isle sweater that doesn’t scream Christmas season is a feat.
Black Jerin Fair Isle – This one is for the neutrals only crowd. I also like that the non patterned bit has some interesting knit detail.
Fair Isle Mock neck – I feel like this sweater would look awesome with black jeans. It feels like the option that some cool french girl would wear. Plus it is on sale!
Red and White Fair Isle – This one is very cheerful without being in your face Christmas. Also comes in other colours.
Christmas Fair Isle – This one is in your face Christmas and I love it. However it wouldn’t have the same longevity throughout the year as the rest of the styles.
Merino Fair Isle – This sweater has all the off colours and it is kinda awesome. Another one that you would see some cool girl rocking with the perfect blue jeans.
Fair Isle Merino Wool Jumper – This option is the most understated. Yes it has a pop of colour but the pattern is really basic in comparison to the others. I ordered this from the same store and it is fantastic but fits large.
Cashmere Fair Isle – I think the green is just gorgeous and makes it a bit special as it is a less used colour.
What do you think of Fair Isle Sweaters? Do you like wearing them this time of year? Do you put them away after the Christmas Season?
