I have always been obsessed with off duty style. More so than runway trends, what the models and taste makers are wearing when they are doing all the same things as the rest of us. Unfortunately for me being only 5’4 many off duty looks aren’t really made for my body type. Being 5’4 and curvy means that I can’t exactly pull off everything that a long, tall model off duty can as she is exiting a runway show.
So I take what I like and mix it with what works.
This sweater cape hides any sort of pouch at the tummy area. And makes skinny jeans that much easier to pull off when the bulk of your weight is held in your thighs like me.
The sweater itself looks so much better with a big scarf at the neck, which makes it a great jacket subsitute during is it cold, is it hot kind of weather we have in September.
This is the kind of sweater that is great to take on a flight so that you can throw it on for extra warmth while you are in a colder climate and pull it off when you get somewhere warmer. Or to a dinner where you might want to hide the fact that you had to un button to fell comfortable again.
Outfit details: Cape Sweater Joe Fresh (last year, but I think this is one of those styles that they bring back year after year), Skinny jeans Madewell, scarf Virginia Johnson (via ELUXE), felt hat & suede boots GAP (USA CAN similar hat).

Off duty style is always a lot of fun. I love the hat and the flowy sweater - it looks so cozy.
