We might have a month of warm weather still left to go but I am dreaming about coats and layers. I have found a bunch of styles that show three distinct trends for this fall winter season. For me a great coat is how I show my style through the fall and winter. More people see us with our coats than the clothes we wear under them. So it is totally worth it to invest in a coat that makes you look chic and stylish. These are the fall coat styles I want to wear.
Fall Coat Styles I want to Wear
Herringbone seems to be making a resurgance. There are large bold herringbone and smaller more stubtle styles.
- Wool Herringbone Belted Coat – Love this belted style. From far this coat will look black but up close it will have a great salt and pepper look.
- Oversized Herringbone coat – love this borrowed from the boys oversized coat. The print on this coat is a bit more obvious but not in your face.
- Houndstooth oversized double face coat – ok this is actully houndstooth not herringbone but it has the same black and white feel. Only the houndstooth pattern is larger and bolder!
- Cross Coat – Loving the big collar on this coat and the drapey menswear feel. The herringbone on this is larger and more dramatic too.
Belted brown coats are a classic neutral option. They can be much more dramatic that you might think.
- Belted coat in brown – Love the slouchy feel and the shawl collar.
- Belted wool coat – The collar on this coat is so oversized it is delicious. The light beige colour is a nice change from your traditional camel.
- Recycled Italian wool blend coat – I have snagged this coat for myself. I love the furry texture and the classic shape.
- Oversized alpaca blend coat – Alpaca is seriously warm and this coat is a bit different because of the button down style.
Colourful coats are a great way to break up the monotony of fall and winter. So many people wear black coats in winter. But you don’t have to just wear a boring black puffer. Switch things up! Add some colour.
- Blue double faced wool coat – this blue coat is a gorgeous option. Loving the large deep pockets and the large cuffs. Such great details.
- Textured slouching coat in pink – Love the texture on this coat. I have a weakness for a furry texture. You might want to size down in this coat it looks quite oversized!
- Wool and Alpaca blend coat – This royal blue coat is a statement! Alpaca is a must for winter as it is so soft and warm.
- Faux fur jacket – This raspberry faux fur jacket is another statement maker.
