It is finally cold enough to wear this coat and not feel like I am jumping the gun. I have also been wearing this oversized plaid scarf non stop. The wind has been intense in our neighbourhood and these large scarves are a godsend.
I hope that you had a wonderful long weekend. We had our Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday with my husbands extended family. A large turkey and stuffing and all the sides. So good. Now that we have moved it is a bit more of an event to visit but I think it might be more fun for the kids to sleep over.
Thanksgiving is the turning point for me into real fall weather. Indian summer is officially over and you can expect it to be cold. And as much as American Thanksgiving kicks off the Christmas season, for me Canadian Thanksgiving really marks my favourite 2.5 months. The rest of October is all about getting ready for Halloween. November has the anticipation of Christmas. And December has the beauty of the beginning of Winter.
