We didn’t get much of a transition season this year. It decided this past week that one day it would just be cold. Cue the sweaters and the coats immediately!
To be honest when the seasons decide to be more cut and dry it is a lot easier to figure out what to wear in the morning.
I wore this outfit to work for casual Friday. I picked up the sweater coat at Winners and it has become a must have for so many reasons. The neutral colour, the way it does up slightly asymmetrically, the oversized collar. Expect to see it more here on the blog.
I kept everything neutral, inspired by those fantastic European blog pins I have in my pinterest boards. This outfit would look just at home on an ancient cobblestone road in Paris as it would on the back roads of Ontario.
The black jeans here are Madewell’s skinny skinny highriser. Madewell’s skinny jeans are the only ones I wear at this point. They have the perfect amount of stretch and stay in place so much better than other brands I have tried that seem to stay put in the calves but pull down everywhere else much like ill fitting nylons. The price point on Madewell’s jeans are fantastic too, right in line with Gap or Banana Republic except that they are not putting them on sale every week. If you are looking for a skinny jean that accommodates your hips and thighs without making you feel like a stuffed sausage I would highly recommend these.
Outfit Details: Sweater Coat Kenar via Winners, stripe sweater H&M basic, black jeans Madewell Skinny Skinny Highriser, booties (old) Micheal Kors via Winners (love these & these are on sale), fold over clutch Clare Vivier (sold out at ELUXE but you can find it here & here).
What are you wearing now that fall has arrived?
