I haven’t really worn a plaid shirt for a few years. I bought one from American Eagle a few years ago but got a size too large and it didn’t really look that great at all. This time around I grabbed one from Joe Fresh and I have been wearing it constantly.
I always felt like I ended up looking too much like a lumberjack wearing plaid but I am not sure if the shape of this shirt has changed my mind or just like the resurgence of the denim shirt I am just finding my groove with plaid.
This outfit is a mixture of what I wore on our long drive to Bedford NY for my husband’s cousin’s wedding this past weekend, and some outlet mall finds from the drive home.
I wore the skinny denim because they are super stretchy so very comfortable and the plaid because it is cozy and soft flannel. The denim jacket and sparkly necklace are things I picked up at the JCREW Outlet.
The drive down through New York state was actually really beautiful. We took the I90 and instead of farms and businesses lining the highways, we were charmed with Mountains and the changing fall leaves. The drive down was a bit soggy to say the least but the drive home was gorgeous.
But now we are back at home and back to reality. Hope you had an amazing weekend. Our mini weekend away was just what we needed!
