Flattered is one of those brands that I constantly saw pop up through instagram. Their advertisements drew me in to their simply beautiful shoes. A mixture of Scandinavian design and Spanish craftmanship. My Flattered Willow Boot Review will share what is so great about these boots.
Flattered Willow Boot Review
Flattered is a Scandinavian company that designs their shoes in Stockholm. The shoes are crafted in Spain. The result is beautifully crafted shoes made of chrome free leathers and honest pricing. There are no middlemen as Flattered is an online based store.
Flattered has a range of flats, sandals, boots and even bags. I chose the Willow Boot in brown suede.
The Willow Boot comes in four options. Black leather, Black suede, Brown Suede and beige suede. I have the brown suede which is a dark chocolate brown shade.
Flattered describes the Willow Boot as a classic low rise boot with a sleek pointed toe. This boot actually reminds me of two of my favourite Everlane boots. The toe box reminds me of the Boss Boot and the back half is more The Western Boot. Although the Willow Boot heel is lower.
Fit wise I ordered a 9 or a 39 based on the size guide. The guidance is that if you are between sizes (there are no half sizes) to size up and I would agree with this, especially in the case of wide feet. Most other brands would consider a 39 closer to an 8.5. In fact these boots fit similarly to my Everlane boots which I usually wear an 8.5.
The Willow boots are easy on and off because of the large elastic panel. The ankle of this boot looks like it would fit snug but again the elastic panel makes for an easy relaxed fit.
I do find these boots sung at the widest part of my foot. Suede however is so forgiving that I don’t find them painful to wear.
Flattered shipped slower than some more mature companies but they are small and growing fast. I think they need more transparency when items are back ordered or you are preordering items. It took 2 weeks to ship my boots but then they arrived quickly. I did have to pay duties on my order via FedEx and they are probably the most antiquated of the major shipping companies. You can’t just pay online!
