This is going to be my last gift guide of the season. The shipping deadlines are coming up FAST and soon if you want to buy any last minute gifts you are going to have to brave the mall like everyone else. Or pay for expatiated shipping, that is always an option.
This gift guide might be a little out of character for me as I usually talk about fashion. But I have a home and as much as it might not be my forte I do like to make my home look nice. And I know more of you are into home decor so I thought it would be a good idea to put together a little gift guide for the Home Decor buff. Actually I saw that cheetah throw and was inspired but you know all that other stuff applies too.
As I said above the cheetah throw is what started all this; isn’t it amazing? We have so many blankets laying around for cold nights but most of them don’t lend anything to the decor of our family room (I hide them when company is over). This would make a fun statement.
We have Christmas marquee lights glowing in our family room right now. They are so fun that my mom went out and bought a set too. But I like the idea of having something fun or having your family name in lights year round. There aren’t that many letters left so hopefully this gets restocked soon!
I thought the Hi Handsome pillow (along with the Hello Gorgeous mate) would be a fun set to give to newly weds or just to give to a couple.
Candles are something I have around the house but I don’t always burn them. I just like the scents to have in drawers and smaller rooms. Diptyque are THE candle to gift to those in the know.
I listen to this radio program on The Edge (a Toronto Rock station) called Adventures in Vinyl. Records are back in a big way so if you are gifting to teens or someone who is really into music a record player is the way to go. And especially if you are gifting to your own teen a great set of headphones is probably a good idea as well.
I just made a Target run to get more frames. Every year I take photos of my kids and get them printed to frame to gift to family members. I am loving the Threshold frames from Target. Great value and really great styles. If you have someone who has a bare wall with no idea what to do with it why not get them started with this gallery wall kit?
Terrariums are having a moment. They are a great gift idea for the gardener who lives in a colder climate and might not have the opportunity to work in a greenhouse through the winter. Plus I love the idea of creating this mini green world in your home. Now if only I didn’t kill every plant I try to grow. Maybe I need a manual.
Ok this gift maybe shouldn’t have been on this list. I mean what does a passport holder have to do with a gift list for the homebody. I would say that even someone into their house and home decor goes on vacation but I think I just got distracted by the sparkle.
I have been eyeing this metal wing bowl for a while now. I think it would be amazing in the front hall for a place to throw keys and spare change.
There are a couple items that didn’t make it into the collage that are still fun items. Like this retro phone smart phone dock. I also saw this wine rack today and though it would be a great modern looking option.
Do you still have gifts to buy this year?
