I am very much looking forward to the days when I can wear sandals on a regular basis. I basically can break the year into sandal season and shoe season. And I am so ready for sandals – gladiator sandals!

The gladiator sandal is one that you can splurge on with luxurious leathers, or save at the mid rate (around $300) and still get a gorgeous leather sandal even with trendy tassels.
I was gifted the super save sandal from the people at Taxi Shoes. I can say from wearing them around the house that they are super lightweight and very accommodating for my wide feet. They are not leather but due to the way they are made (with all the straps) it isn’t noticeable. The low wedge heel is perfect for walkability. I also like that Taxi Shoes is Canadian! Gladiator sandals look great with everything from summer dresses to cut off shorts. Short girls watch out though because this style (like all the ankle strap styles) cuts off the leg at the ankle. If you don’t want this affect than stick to nude coloured or a colour that is similar to your tanned skin. This will make the sandal and leg appear more seamless.
I also like these sandals with ankle cropped pants which are the ideal pant length to show off a fabulous shoe. Go with something with tassels or embellishment when you have a cropped pant.
If you want to make sure that your gladiator sandals are on trend for 2015 try out a lace up pair, a style that climbs the leg or something with fringe. Tassels and fringe are huge for Spring Summer 2015.
