I always tend to go for red when I am planning out Christmas looks but green is just as festive. Especially if you pair it with some red lipstick and sparkles. I picked up this green tie neck sweater after success with this coat. I just thought the colour was amazing for this time of year.
I paired the green sweater with a darker green pair of velvet pants for a monochomatic look. To make it pop I paired the plaid flats from this post. I also had a pair of sparkly earrings.
I took the same outfit and switched it up with a different pair of flats. I have decided the next time I have to go to a wedding I am not even bother with heels anymore. I am just going to wear sparkly flats.
Now I could have just as easily paired this sweater with black velvet pants or blackwatch plaid. Heck it would go with a Stewart tartan too. You could even pair this sweater with a sequin skirt (I like this or this) or something gold.
I wanted to share how you could wear this sweater if you aren’t that into Christmas or after the holiday season. Pairing it with jeans and a pair of boots just looks relaxed and cool.
The sweater is warm and the jewel tone green is really gorgeous in person. I sized up to an XL to keep a more relaxed fit. If you want a more slim fit stick with your usual size.
What do you think? Are you more into wearing red at Christmastime or green?
