One of the colour combinations I am really excited for this winter is a soft pink and grey. Grey is one of my favourite non colours and with all this gorgeous snow we got over the weekend I think it is a beautiful pairing.
I picked up these cords at Loft and have already worn them a few times. I scored them while jeans & cords were 50% off at Loft so they were a steal. This is the first time I have bought a pair of pants at Loft. They fit quite large. I was told by the sales staff that this is because they are North American sizing. I am not sure how that works since I have lived in North America my whole life but apparently as Canadians we are used to European sizing in a North American sizing convention? Not sure. All I know is that Loft pants fit large. I was one size down from my usual in the 6/8/10 sizes and two sizes down from 27/28/29 sizes. I find usually a 32 is equivalent to a 10 but at Loft it was equivalent to a 14.
In addition to larger sizing these cords have lots of stretch making them super comfortable. There were lots of lovely colours like a darker mauve-y pink that would be fab with grey too.
You can tell from these pictures that we finally got a ton of snow in Toronto. I had grand plans of heading to a park to take outfit pictures but after shoveling a path from the house to the car I didn’t really feel like having to dig the car out as well! I hope that the snow stays for Christmas. Then it can melt. HA!
Seriously though I love the way snow looks especially in December. After doing these outfit pictures I put on my snow pants and parka and stomped around in the snow with the kids for a while. They made snow angles, I made sure the sidewalks were walkable again.

It just feels so cozy. Black is so over done in winter that it feels refreshing too.
