Some people use black as their go to colour for a monochromatic look. I however have always been drawn to grey. I do not know how many grey tees I have, it just seems to be a basic for me.
This outfit is actually an accumulation of grey pieces that I have accumulated over the past few years. The vest I picked up on sale from Vocado about 2 years ago, the top is a Tucker style blouse from Club Monaco I got last year. The grey jeans are from Banana Republic and I picked them up this year again on sale. The boots are Joe Fresh and you might still be able to pick up a pair if you are lucky.
There are a number of things I love about this outfit. First the jeans are ridiculously comfortable, much like cozy sweat pants as opposed to jeans.
I also love how the vest hugs my shoulders and the detailing on the shoulder.
I never do up the vest and took the buttons off the one side and this close up shows that I should have taken off the other side too as the wind blew open the side I thought would be hidden. Still I wanted to show the necklace that I picked up from Urban Outfitters for $10!
What colour do you feature with a head to toe look? Black, White, Grey, Red?

I love gray too! I can't tell you how many gray sweaters I own. I think it's the coziness factor. Something about gray - maybe it's the association with rain - just makes me want to curl up but look chic at the same time. :) Love that vest! Now I want to knit one!
