I think I have finally figured out my Halloween Front Porch Decor. I have added things here and there over the years and layered things to get the look I want. I want the look to be spooky without being too scary. I also want it to be spooky without being tacky.
Halloween Front Porch Decor
This front porch is years in the making. The oldest items here are the plug in pumpkins which we have had since we lived in Toronto. Back then we would carve a pumpkin and by the next day the squirrels and racoons had eaten our pumpkins! So these plug in plastic pumpkins were our failsafe.
My Boo sign is an old find from Homesense. I have it wrapped in mini skull lights so that it can light up for Halloween night.
The part that really makes the whole Halloween Door decor is the Halloween wreath layered with the skeleton. The wreath is another Homesense find. There is something similar here. The skeletons are from Micheals but you can find similar ones anywhere you find Halloween decor.
We have a pretty understated front door mat. There are so many fun options, but I didn’t want to distract from everything else goin on. I do really like this and this as alternatives.
The glitter spiders are from Dollarama. I have found so many great things for Halloween at Dollarama. I have mini skeletons that I hang in the tree on our front yard. The spiders and crow hung in the sticks I scavenged from the woods behind out house are also Dollarama finds.
I know there will be changes from year to year but this will stay as my Halloween front door for years to come. I am not one to do a completely different door every year. I prefer to reuse what we have and tweak or build to make it even better.
Do you decorate your front door for Halloween?
